Overview
SEO is a tough channel to crack.
It takes time.
It takes money.
It takes expertise.
And most importantly it takes patience.
Which is why most businesses struggle to make it work.
Unlike other marketing channels, SEO is one you will not see an immediate return on regardless of how much money you pour in.
As Warren Buffet once said, "You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant."
I believe this is true when it comes to search engine optimization.
It's not as simple as producing more content, buying more links, and expecting results.
This is why it's critical to work with an expert who's grown many sites, worked with similar clients, has generated an ROI, and genuinely has skin in the game.
It's not enough to boast results from years ago.
Today's SEO landscape is different.
Google is getting smarter, and the competition is getting stronger.
You need to work with a skilled SEO consultant who has their finger on the pulse.
Many factors make a SEO strategy successful in 2024, namely:
Deep research: Researching is at the forefront of a successful strategy. Especially on things like the business, customer, their jobs to be done, competition, the SERPs, and much more.
Quality content: It's never been more important to have real experts producing quality content that helps your users. Google has made it clear they don't want low-quality content in the SERPs. If you mess this up nothing else will work. Forget the word count, forget the keywords, and just produce great content for real humans.
Unique content: Google has been clear that unique content that helps users will be rewarded. This is true for all of the sites I run. Even sites with low authority are ranked for competitive terms because the content is genuinely unique and insightful.
Great design and usability: Unfortunately slow sites that are hard to navigate don't stand a chance. With hundreds (and sometimes thousands) of competitors your site design and functionality are critical.
High-quality backlinks: This isn't as important as it once used to be, although it's still critical to the success of your website. It's hard for search engines to trust websites that don't have any high-quality natural links.
Branded search: Believe it or not this is becoming more important. While most SEOs overlook this I believe it's a key distinction between otherwise similar websites competing for the same traffic.
True expertise: Above all, search engines want to showcase real experts with real opinions and great products. Without this it's incredibly difficult to expect high quality traffic.
These are the "big rocks" of SEO in 2024.
Of course, many other things can help your site rank although without these fundamentals in place, it's an uphill battle.
Time for the good news.
This is my bread and butter.
I help businesses nail this so that they can grow through compounding and sustainable organic traffic.
But don't take it from me, according to HubSpot businesses that invest in a blog experience 126% higher lead growth than businesses without a blog.

(02) — Process
A successful SEO strategy is built on bulletproof research. I'll learn everything I can about your businesses and customers. On top of this, I'll handle keyword research, competitor research and even JBTD research.
Once the SEO strategy is built we execute relentlessly. This means high quality content is published, new backlinks are built, technical SEO updates are made and the UX is improved.
Like most digital marketing strategies, they require constant testing and optimizing. This is where we look at Google Search Console data, Google Analytics data, and internal reports to make business decisions.
(03) — Why it works
SEO can become a core part of your business's success. Regardless of your current growth channels organic traffic is always going to help drive new leads.
Unlike other growth strategies, SEO is predictable once you have a baseline level of traffic. Every article, backlink, and site improvement compounds over time.
Investing in SEO is designed to yield long-term results. Unlike other channels, you do not need to continue paying for relevant visitors to your site.
What I do
I help businesses attract and convert high-quality traffic into paying customers through SEO. I do this by learning everything about your business and then implementing the appropriate systems to generate compounding results.
Who I help
Software and service based companies that already have product market fit (i.e. happy customers). Especially businesses that are open-minded and believe in the "build once sell twice" philosophy.
What I believe
I believe SEO is one of the best investments a business can make. It's also one of the only channels that compounds over time and pays dividends long after the work has been done.

"Luc has been an excellent consultant that we've had the chance to work with. Initially we contacted him to improve and optimize our email marketing, which at the time we were struggling with the messaging, CTAs and conversions. He took the time to understand our company positioning and was able to translate that directly into our email template which has now helped us to begin scaling and outreach more businesses effectively. Looking forward to the next time we can work together."

He is incredibly knowledgeable in his area of expertise yet explains things simply and in layman's terms. He is also very patient and understanding as to the size of task and balancing the time you have available to invest into a project. Luc works with you and provides constant support, always being available when needed and helping to achieve the set objectives. I would highly recommend Luc and his continued ongoing support since completing the upgrade has been invaluable."

Great question!
A B2B SEO consultant does exactly what a normal SEO consultant would do although specializes in driving organic traffic for B2B companies (e.g. business accounting software).
They're still an expert who analyzes, reviews, and implements changes to optimize your website for organic traffic.
Generally speaking, a B2B SEO consultant will advise, guide, and recommend how to best approach this. They often conduct things like keyword research, competitor analysis, technical SEO audits, jobs to be done "JTBD" research, content strategy planning, and link-building strategies to improve a website's performance.
A good SEO will also know to produce content for your potential customers (i.e. humans) and not search engines (i.e. Google). This is become an increasingly important factor in any SEO strategy.
I rely on a few tools but will always be open to trying new ones. These include Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Semrush, Ahrefs, SERanking, Mangools, Screaming From, various WordPress plugins, Quoted, Gummy Search, Hunter, and more.
Feel free to read these guides to get a better understanding of which tools I like to leverage:
According to salary.com, the average salary for a Search Engine Optimization (SEO) consultant is $81,937. However, the range typically falls between $74,926 and $91,064.
Since SEO is a highly specialized skill, consultants can cost anywhere from $50 to $300 per hour. This can still work out much cheaper then hiring a dedicated employee.
Any business I decide to work with will see results.
This is because I only work with companies that have product market fit, existing customers, patience, a healthy budget, and a willingness to try new things.
It's impossible to guarantee results from SEO but if I decide to work with you the chances are I see major potential. And if this is the case you can expect to see a noticeable increase in relevant traffic that results in leads and customers.
This is critical in 2024. The team and I stay updated with Google's algorithm updates by closely following official Google communication, engaging in SEO communities, monitoring our portfolio of websites, and through advanced tools. There have been numerous core updates in 2023 and 2024 that have disrupted the SERPs but these are mostly related to spam so they will not be a concern to most healthy businesses.
I don't specialize in one particular industry but I prefer to work with service-based businesses, software businesses, and information businesses. In terms of industries I've worked with businesses across real estate, finance, investing, blockchain, publishing, health, professional services, newsletters, and more. SEO (i.e. organic traffic) is required in almost every business that leverages the internet for growth.
While these types of businesses are my primary focus, the principles remain the same and can be adapted and customized to suit your specific needs. My core focus is SEO, email marketing, automation, cold email (i.e. lead gen), copywriting, and marketing strategy. Anything that requires work outside of my circle of competence won't be a good fit.
In short, yes. However, the idea of being qualified is subjective–especially in marketing. Some consultants possess all the credentials available but lack first-hand experience, case studies, and client testimonials. Others may have achieved amazing results for their clients but possess no formal qualifications.
