Overview
I bet you've heard this before.
And I'm here to tell you the answer is yes.
Whether it's a brand mention alert or custom onboarding tasks.
Maybe it's even an email marketing sequence.
It can be done.
It can save you time.
And it can increase revenue.
But it's not as simple as slapping together some Zaps.
What happens when an employee leaves the company?
Or if a tool decides to automatically update?
What happens when your product changes?

System implementation & setup : Correctly setting up your marketing automation systems and integrating them with required software.
Campaign optimization & management : Deeply analyzing and refining your automated marketing campaigns for better performance.
Lead management : Building systems to manage, prioritize, and nurture leads (and workflows) for better conversions.
Reporting & dashboards : Building clear and comprehensive reporting systems to track KPIs.
Training : Conducting training sessions and building SOPs for marketing teams so they're equipped to manage everything.

(02) — Process
The first step to automating a process is to build out a data flow diagram or process map. This helps visualize every aspect of the process and identify bottlenecks and opportunities for improvement.
Once we agree upon the process and workflow we can start building the automations. This is where we get into the weeds, explore APIs, and connect data sources.
Testing the reliability of these automations before and after they're live is key. This is where we ensure the workflow is stable, secure and scalable.
(03) — Why it works
Build a marketing automation system that can turn your business into a well-oiled machine that runs itself. Regardless of your current processes or marketing software, there are ways to leverage automation.
Marketing automation software gives you visibility into customer behavior, revenue growth, funnel performance, and even customer satisfaction. Especially when AI is used correctly.
Marketing & sales automation is designed to remove human input and make the most of sales technology or marketing cloud functions. The more automation you can build the more money you save and create.
What I do
Implement automation in the customer buying journey to capture, nurture, and convert leads into paying customers. This helps businesses save time, capture more revenue, and future-proof their business.
Who I help
I typically work with technology and software companies that have a detailed understanding of their processes and/or are open-minded to improving them.
What I believe
I believe marketing tools can enable a scalable and data-driven strategy, optimizing customer journeys and driving retention and growth. These marketing systems can drive significant qualified leads for your business.
(04) — About
Comparison
Automation built inside your actual stack, without the agency markup, brittle hand-offs, or lock-in.
(05) — Results
48% of revenue from email
Ticker Nerd is a stock newsletter and investment service. We built an email funnel and automation sequences that appeared in 60% of all conversion paths. Email and ConvertKit alone drove 48% of revenue. The business scaled and was eventually acquired by Finder.
100% increase in meetings
Metaintro is an AI and Web3 jobs newsletter with over 400,000 readers from companies like Meta, Google, and Amazon. We built a cold email campaign targeting advertisers. It doubled the meetings the sales team were previously booking, and multiple ad slots were filled directly from the campaign.
10-15 SQOs generated every month
I ran cold email campaigns for Rippling's APAC team. The results set a record for SQO performance in the region. A dedicated cold email SDR was hired off the back of the campaigns. Within 12 months, nurture sequences + cold emails were influencing strong ARR growth and bringing in new customers.
3+ referral partners
Stacked Finance Direct deals and monthly referral partners generated. Stacked Finance is an asset finance brokerage. We built an email strategy that generated direct deals and created referral partnerships that submit new deals every month.
Rebuilt sequences
ARG is a heavy and commercial vehicle business. We cleaned up their full segmentation and wrote all their outbound sequences from scratch. Their Head of Marketing put it simply: it saved them months of testing.
50% reply rate
Quest Finance needed to re-engage brokers who had gone quiet. We built targeted email sequences for both inactive and dormant segments. Within two weeks, we generated multiple submissions. We achieved a 50% reply rate on the inactive sequence and a 33% reply rate on the dormany sequences.

I don't specialize in one particular industry but I prefer to work with service-based businesses, software businesses, and information businesses. In terms of industries I've worked with businesses across real estate, finance, investing, blockchain, publishing, health, professional services, newsletters, and more. Marketing automation is required in almost every business that leverages the internet.
While these types of businesses are my primary focus, the principles remain the same and can be adapted and customized to suit your specific needs. My core focus is SEO, email marketing, automation, cold email (i.e. lead gen), copywriting, and marketing strategy. Anything that requires work outside of my circle of competence won't be a good fit.
In short, yes. However, the idea of being qualified is subjective–especially in marketing. Some consultants possess all the credentials available but lack first-hand experience, case studies, and client testimonials. Others may have achieved amazing results for their clients but possess no formal qualifications.
Here are some of the qualifications you might be interested in:
Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing and Business Information Systems)
Semrush Academy Certificate
Certified MailerLite Expert
Google Analytics Individual Certification
Vetted Mayple Marketer
Certified Clay Expert
On top of this, I've built, bought, and sold various digital businesses. I also write for sites like Zapier and Whalesync.

A marketing automation consultant is responsible for streamlining processes and building workflows to help businesses save time and generate an ROI from their marketing efforts.
Some of the key responsibilities include:
Designing and implementing automated email campaigns, drip sequences, and trigger-based responses. Usually for lead management and customer engagement.
Focussing on on lead generation by employing automation for lead capture, scoring, and segmentation.
Designing tailored workflows for specific industries, such as e-commerce, services, and SaaS.
Creating automated workflows in e-commerce for personalized customer interactions, communication, product recommendations, and order fulfillment.
In the services sector, streamline processes like appointment scheduling, client communication, and feedback through automation.
For SaaS companies, it could be creating automation workflows to drive user adoption, nurture trial users, and enhance customer retention.
On top of this, the marketing automation specialist you work with (such as myself) should be able to handle the project management aspect of the above. Expect them to work with the marketing operations team or the demand gen team to safely and quickly roll out all updates.
Since marketing automation is a high leverage tasks, consultants can charge a lot of money for their services.
According to salary.com, the average salary for a marketing automation consultant is $74,808. However, the range typically falls between $64,148 to $86,835.
When it comes to specialist freelancers or consultants it's not uncommon for automation consultants to charge $100+ per hour.
Generally speaking, the answer is yes. Most marketing platforms (such as CRMs, email marketing tools, social media scheduling tool, etc) have native integrations with marketing automation tools like Make and Zapier or APIs that can be leveraged for automation. Marketing technology has evolved in the last 3-5 years which means even if there isn't a native integration it's very easy to create a stable "workaround".
This is a great question and one I love answering.
There's no shortage of software developers, automation experts, project managers, and marketing automation specialists. However, they usually don't have well-rounded experience. One might be great at building API integrations, but not understand your business's B2B sales cycle. Another might understand your business and industry deeply but lack the experience to build and manage a successful automation project.
Not only have I built, bought, and sold my businesses that have used marketing automation to scale, but I've also worked as a digital project manager for reputable companies. My marketing system and marketing process are approached with the end in mind and reference all facets of my knowledge.
On top of this, I've built communication skills that will make working with me smooth and enjoyable!
Hiring me (or any great marketing automation consultant) can provide many benefits for your business. They can include:
Expertise : The right consultant can bring specialized knowledge and experience in marketing automation tools and specific strategies tailored to the B2B environment.
Optimized systems : They can set up and optimize marketing automation platforms, ensuring they are aligned with the company's goals and integrated with existing systems. This is especially important since most businesses have custom workflows and requirements.
Efficiency : Consultants are supposed to streamline processes, saving you time and effort by automating repetitive tasks like lead nurturing, lead scoring, email campaigns, and customer follow-ups. These take time and are usually neglected when they get hard.
Data Management and Analysis : Generally speaking they'll assist in data organization and analysis, leveraging automation to create valuable insights for targeted campaigns and improved decision-making.
Scalability : A good consultant will design a scalable automation framework that adapts to your business growth. This enables effective management of larger customer bases and more complex marketing operations. Without this, your systems will break quickly.
Campaign optimization : Not only can a consultant build out your automation but since they're experienced marketers they can refine your marketing campaigns through A/B testing, performance tracking, insights, and continuous optimization based on data-driven results.
